Tale City is a city with a dark and absurd atmosphere, where many people with super-powers live. The hero of the novel, Edward Rooker, is a psychological counselor. He advises depressed and frustrated superheroes at the "Hire a Hero" agency. But unfortunately, he is completely unable to cope with his own life. The Ex Libris project concerns this series of books.
